£121m Boost to Welsh Economy from Zip World

Things are looking up for the company behind Europe’s longest zipwire, Zip World. Walesonline reports that the company has injected £121m into the economy of North Wales since opening its first attracton three years ago and has brought thousands of news visitors zip world logo
to the region.

With Zip World set to open its first attraction in South Wales in 2017 (a zipwire at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport) and visitors reportedly spending around £500 a visit – 10% over £1000 -on their visit to North Wales it is no wonder the editor of Lonely Planet recently extolled the virtues of the region, describing it as “a playground for hikers, mountain bikers and rock climbers”.
