Animalive combines state of the art technology with creative entertainment ideas, to bring exciting interactive capabilities to astound and amaze guests.

As digital entertainment products have become common place, it is increasingly challenging to find a product capable of surprising, as well as entertaining. Something that brings a “Wow factor” to audiences. That factor is interactivity. A personal, never to be repeated experience for each and every audience member.

15 years of experimentation with various technologies from parent company Animazoo has enabled the business to move into the entertainment sector using hardware and software only available to TV production companies and only affordable for large establishments like various Disney Parks.

The technology is simple but sophisticated and proprietary: a patented motion capture suit is controlled by a single operator and connects to any HD or LCD screen. The suit then measures the movements of said operator and integrates it with an animated character (humanoid 3D or cartoon character) via a microphone. The operator can see and hear the audience through a hidden camera and speak to audiences giving the illusion of a living cartoon and leading to an interactive experience that is unique every time. There is no pre-recorded animation used to aid communication with the audience. With the ability to change between unlimited numbers of background images with the press of a key, the Animalive system can be a revolutionary source of edutainment.

Another difference between this and other similar technologies is the affordability. Whereas previously only top end theme parks would have been able to afford the technology, Animalive’s price tag enables a variety of smaller entertainment centre’s to incorporate the system into their business.

Animalive’s line of ChatterBox products include:

Animation Brain

Designed for the FEC market, the Animation Brain delivers the “WOW” factor of a live CGI character in a cost effective, easy to use, turnkey package. The behind the scenes operator controls the character in real-time using a comprehensive touch screen display.

A HD video out-put and stereo audio out-put ensures the Animation Brain can be connected to any HD screen or projector and any PA system with Phono or XLR in-puts.

ChatterBox Mini

Designed to be integrated into a themed attraction, the ChatterBox Mini includes all the hardware of an Animation Brain, plus a mechanical real-time upper body motion capture system. This allows the behind the scenes operator to switch between live CGI character puppetry and pre-recorded blended animation loops.

A HD video out-put and stereo audio out-put ensured the ChatterBox Mini can be connected to any HD screen or projector and any PA system with Phono or XLR in-puts.

ChatterBox

Designed to be integrated into a themed attraction, the ChatterBox includes all the hardware of an Animation Brain, plus a Lycra based inertial real-time upper body motion capture system. This allows the behind the scenes operator to switch between live CGI character puppetry and pre-recorded blended animation loops.

A HD video out-put and stereo audio out-put ensured the ChatterBox can be connected to any HD screen or projector and any PA system with Phono or XLR in-puts.

ChatterBox Full Body

Designed to be integrated into a themed attraction, the ChatterBox Mini includes all the hardware of an Animation Brain, plus a Lycra based inertial real-time upper body motion capture system. This allows the behind the scenes operator to switch between live CGI character puppetry and pre-recorded blended animation loops.

A HD video out-put and stereo audio out-put ensured the ChatterBox full body can be connected to any HD screen or projector and any PA system with Phono or XLR in-puts.

Augmented Reality

To add another dimension to the attraction, real-time reverse chroma-key hardware can be fitted into any Animalive product. The result is the live mixing of the audience into the CGI animation. This augmented reality effect gives the illusion that the audience is in the animation with the character.

Character Design

Each Animalive system includes a number of stock characters from Animalive’s character library. Should the client wish to develop a CGI character based on their mascot or create a character from scratch, the Animalive animation team are happy to facilitate this.

Bespoke

We are able to adapt the technology for live theatrical shows to audiences of all sizes and any brief.
