Nicco Park is part of a well diversified business conglomerate Nicco Group in India with interests in Electrical Cable manufacturing, turnkey project execution, special type of Engineering Services and HR Services.  Nicco Park is a listed Company set up in 1990 with technical support from Blackpool Pleasure Beach Limited, UK. It started its operation on 13th October, 1991. Over the last eighteen years, Nicco Park got more than 24 million visitors in the Kolkata Park. Today it has 35 different Rides / facilities including a Water Park. It has also a state of the art 4-lane Bowling Alley and an Air-conditioned Fine Dining Restaurant.

Nicco Park has other associated Parks located in two different states such as Bhubaneswar (set up in December, 1998) and Jamshedpur (set up in June 2001) and a composite Park in the neighbouring country Bangladesh in Dhaka (set up in 2003).
 
Nicco Park has ISO : 9001 – Quality System Certification, ISO : 14001 – Environment Management System certification and OHSAS : 18001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management System & SA : 8000 Certification from the well renowned European Certifying Authority M/s. Det Norske Veritas  (DNVAS), Norway. Nicco Park has a wide range of Rides / facilities, manufactured by them in addition to setting up new Amusement / Water Parks on Turnkey basis. TUV, India affiliated to TUEV, Germany is associated with Nicco Park for annual inspection of all the major rides in its Parks as well as manufacturing inspections for new rides based on approved quality assurance plans.

Two of Nicco Park’s prime rides are “River Cave” – The Dark Ride and “Cyclone” – The Wooden Roller Coaster. The Wooden Roller Coaster (almost a km long) was made in house with 2003 in technical assistance from Blackpool. Inspection of the ride was carried out M/s. Jacob Babtie, UK who has certified that this Wooden Roller Coaster made indigenously is comparable to any new Wooden Roller Coaster manufactured in UK / Europe currently. The Dark Ride “River Cave” made in house in 1996 is still the most popular ride of the Park and almost one third of our total visitors take this ride. This ride was also manufactured and installed in technical assistance from Blackpool, UK.

For your information, Nicco Park is the only Company in India, who has designed and implemented eight (8) Amusement Park Projects from concept to commissioning till date (7 in India and 1 in Dhaka, Bangladesh) including four composite Parks i.e. Dry & Water at Kolkata, Dhaka, Agartala and Mondermani. It has also developed and implemented a unique Horror House concept in 5 Parks in recent past.

Based on the expertise developed, Nicco Park has diversified in Project consultancy, design and execution of out house and overseas projects in the last ten years and has implemented several overseas Projects in UK, Japan, UAE and Bangladesh. In recent past, Nicco Park also executed one Dark Ride Project in UAE, where different themes were created for each scene along with its details of scene design / concept, model work, animation and light / sound effects. Nicco Park’s overseas technical consultants are Blackpool Pleasure Beach Limited, UK, Adrian Fisher Mazes Limited, UK & Jacob, UK.

Over the last ten years, Nicco Park has also developed expertise for Theming in Fiberglass Plastic (FRP) related model work for Dark Rides, Haunted Houses and all the Amusement Rides being manufactured by Nicco Park including theme designs and works and electro mechanical animation jobs.
