Brean Leisure Park is the largest amusement park in the South West of England. The amusement park is located in the village of Brean which is near the coastal resort of Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset.
It is an amusement park which is truly geared up to ensuring that it appeals to all of the family with attractions, rides and entertainment aimed at young and old alike.
There are 40 fabulous rides at the amusement park, several of which are aimed at those who enjoy thrilling white knuckle rollercoaster rides, the latest of which is the Super Looper ‘knuckle whitener’. Xtreme, Disco Fever, Frisbee, Terror Castle and Sizzler are other popular attractions. F
or the younger children, there are several river boat rides at the amusement park, pony rides and those ‘good ole’ favourites – dodgems.
Two of the great attractions at the amusement park are the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. With 4 water chutes to slide down and a dedicated pool for toddlers, the whole family can swim and splash around to their heart’s content and all of amusement park’s pools are heated making for enjoyable bathing.
The amusement park is keen to ensure that both adults, as well as children, are well catered for. With that in mind, the Tavern at Brean Leisure Park is one of Somerset’s most reputable venues for evening entertainment and cabaret. The likes of Peter Andre and Jason Donovan have performed there as well as Somerset’s own famous band, The Wurzels.
With the amusement park located right near the coast, you can also take a stroll along the miles of sandy beach and it has its own 18 hole, par 69 golf course for sports enthusiasts. It also has an arcade and a good selection of shops. In addition to the Tavern with its carvery meals, the amusement park also has a Wimpy concession which houses a toddler’s play area.
One of the added attractions of the amusement park is that it has its own large selection of magnificently landscaped and good quality self catering accommodation. Therefore, you don’t need to cram everything into one day at this amusement park but can take your time and sleep over at prices to suit all budgets.
Unlike many amusement parks, admission is free – you only pay for what you want to ride and queuing time is exceptionally short.
