4D Theater: “Journey to the center of the Earth " to be developed as 4D Theme park Ride and Simulation by Attraction Media and Entertainment

Attraction Media and Entertainment, a Valencia-based special format film production and distribution company, has secured the rights to New Line’s feature "Journey to the Center of the Earth” through a license agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. AME will develop a wide range of out-of-home, non-theatrical films and attractions from this popular film starring Brendan Fraser.
"We're excited about this major title for both entertainment and educational projects," said AME President Jon Corfino. "We are currently developing a 4-D Attraction film and a simulation film for the property that will be ready for release later this year."
In New Line’s “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” three adventurers plunge deep into a strange new world beneath the Earth’s surface where they embark on an amazing voyage and find incredible beauty amidst grave danger.
Eric Brevig directed the film from a screenplay by Michael Weiss and Jennifer Flackett & Mark Levin. Charlotte Huggins and Beau Flynn are the producers, with Toby Emmerich, Brendan Fraser, Mark McNair and Tripp Vinson serving as executive producers.
AME is already in development on a 4-D dark ride and portable attractions. Corfino added, "What makes these projects unique is that we are working directly with the filmmakers to create new stand alone attractions based on their original work. The collaborative process allows us to create some truly original special format films and experiences for Theme Parks, Museums, Science Centers, etc., around the World."
AME had great success recently with other major branded properties, including SpongeBob Squarepants. A 3D simulation film, produced, and distributed by AME and based on the popular Nickelodeon animated characters has been leased in theme parks and special format theaters around the world. AME is also distributing the upcoming Sea Monsters 4D, which is being produced by National Geographic based on the highly successful Giant Screen film “Sea Monsters.
