SCS Interactive Brings Excitement to Great Wolf Resorts’ Newest Indoor Waterpark

Great Wolf Lodge officially opened the doors to Bear Track Landing™ indoor waterpark in January 2008. This is the ninth Great Wolf Lodge indoor waterpark to feature SCS Interactive’s water play structure as its cornerstone attraction.

The treehouse waterfort attraction called, Fort Mackenzie™, features a magnificent 1,000 gallon tipping bucket and multiple interactive levels.

“When our guests first enter the waterpark, the wow factor is seeing the treehouse waterfort and tipping bucket. Kids can’t wait to climb in and explore every inch of the structure. And parents can’t help but get swept up in the excitement and join their kids,” said Kim Schaefer, chief operating officer of Great Wolf Resorts.

In addition to its interactive tipping bucket this custom treehouse waterfort features a northwoods-inspired theme, two body slides, bridges, and spray pool elements. Visitors to the water park will enjoy more than 60 guest-activated water features that squirt, spray, and blast.

“The treehouse concept has given Great Wolf Resorts an enormous amount of flexibility to customize the attraction to give each resort its own unique identity, while creating a distinct and recognizable feature that links each property together,” said Steve Wagner, vice president of marketing and sales, SCS Interactive.

SCS Interactive collaborated closely with Great Wolf Resorts to customize the main attraction. “Fort Mackenzie thoroughly captures the spirit of Great Wolf Lodge and delivers an incredible experience to our guests,” Schaefer said.

The hallmark SCS Interactive’s treehouses are featured at Great Wolf Lodge resorts in Wisconsin Dells, WI; Sandusky, OH; Traverse City, MI; Kansas City, KS; Williamsburg, VA; the Pocono Mountains, PA; Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada; Mason, OH; Grapevine TX; and Blue Harbor Resort + Conference Center in Sheboygan, WI.

The Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park in Grapevine, TX indoor water park at will also features multiple pools and waterslides in a delightful 84 degree setting.

SCS partnered with aquatic design build firm, Neuman Group and slide manufacturer, ProSlide to complete this project and worked with The Weber Group to integrate its custom-themed waterfort with the resort’s overall theme.
