Official name and logo of Abu Dhabi's Iconic waterpark revealed in anticipation of 2012 opening on leisure hub Yas Island.
The final phase of development for the newly-named Yas Waterworld Aqua Park is underway, and the venue is expected to open to visitors in the fourth quarter of 2012.

This highly original entertainment aqua park pays tribute to Emirati culture and the country’s pearl-diving heritage. All 43 rides, waterslides and attractions follow the fictional adventures of ‘Dana’, a young Emirati girl searching for a legendary pearl, which brings prosperity to her village.
The Yas Waterpark has been eagerly anticipated by developers and locals alike and is expected to compliment the island’s already world class leisure facilities.

read over 15 hectares, the Waterpark is set to become one of the leading attractions of its kind in the world.
“Visitors to Yas Island can see how far the construction of this landmark project has progressed. Last week we celebrated the topping out of Jebel Dana – the towering centrepiece and home of the Great Mother Pearl,” said Mike Oswald (right), Park Manager.
“Soaring 45 metres above ground, Jebel Dana will be the newest tourism beacon drawing regional and international crowds heading to the island when Yas Waterworld Aqua Park opens later this year.”
Yas Waterpark Aqua Park is conveniently located close to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Theme Park, Yas Marina Circuit and the Yas Links Golf Course, adding to the already superb leisure facilities which the island has to offer.
Developed by Aldar Properties, the operatror of the Waterpark on Yas Island isand will be Farah Leisure Parks Management.
