Brunswick brings Premier Bowling & Entertainment Centre to Algonquin

Brunswick Bowling & Billiards has announced its plans to open a state-of-the-art bowling and entertainment center in Algonquin at 1611 S. Randall Road in March. Brunswick Zone XL Randall Road is one of the newest locations in Brunswick’s chain of more than 108 bowling and entertainment centers in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

“Brunswick Zone XL will bring 150 new jobs to the area, both full-time and part-time,” explained  Matthew Fletcher, general manager, Brunswick Zone XL Randall Road. “We are looking for individuals who are customer-service oriented, want to grow with the company and, of course, want to have fun on the job!”

Brunswick Zone XL Randall Road will feature more than 57,000 square feet of entertainment for leagues, parties, corporate meetings and group events. The smoke-free facility will boast 38 lanes of bowling, a multi-level laser tag arena, a fun-filled video game arcade, a Fireside Sports and Brunswick Billiards lounge, large screen TVs, fully-equipped, spacious meeting rooms and much, much more.

To reflect the changing face of bowling, the new center is designed to meet the entertainment needs of families, friends, groups and businesses seeking to enjoy everything from children’s birthday parties, to casual bowling fun, to a place to celebrate a special occasion or hold a serious league competition.
“We are excited to bring the very best in bowling and family entertainment to Algonquin,” added Warren Hardie, president, Brunswick Bowling & Billiards. “In addition to fun-filled programs and entertainment options, we look forward to providing our customers with the very best service possible.”

There will be a full-service café featuring a varied menu including appetizers, pasta and salads and other quality fare that goes far beyond amusement center staples, according to Fletcher. Dinners will be delivered to the bowling lanes, where patrons will enjoy the comfort of plush, sofa-style seating, not found in typical bowling centers. Customers will also enjoy state-of-the-art lighting and music at this enhanced facility.

This will be the company’s eleventh Brunswick Zone XL center in the nation, and additional locations are planned for 2008. This new format is a key growth driver for Brunswick Bowling & Billiards. The new Brunswick Zone XL centers are exceeding performance expectations, according to Hardie.
“Parents today are very passionate about finding entertainment venues they can enjoy with their children, as well as a fun, safe environment in which kids can be kids without Mom or Dad,“ Hardie said.

Since Brunswick also wants to convert casual bowlers into frequent bowlers, the new center will offer lessons and tips to anyone who wants to improve his or her game. “A better grasp of the fundamentals makes an enormous impact,” Hardie said. “It makes bowling more fun and that’s what it’s all about. Good times and great value bring people back.”
