Brunswick's Virtual Bowling in National Distribution Agreement

Brunswick Bowling & Billiards, the industry leader in the bowling and entertainment business, has recently completed a U.S. wide distribution agreement for its Virtual Bowling product line with Betson Enterprises, the number one amusement game distributor in the United States. While Brunswick’s capital equipment sales organization will continue to be responsible for Virtual Bowling sales to the traditional bowling market in the U.S., Betson will focus on non-bowling amusement locations.

“With the recent introduction of the new ‘arcade ready’ coin-operated version of Virtual Bowling, we are excited about working with the great people at Betson to expand the market presence of Virtual Bowling, “ said Gary Smith, Brunswick's director of amusement sales.

“Virtual Bowling is a unique and innovative product that gives locations the WOW factor that no other attraction can deliver,” added Rick Kirby, president of Betson Enterprises.
Betson Enterprises has named Nick Sarioglou and Scott Gilmore as the head representatives for the Virtual Bowling product. “With decades of industry experience under their collective belts, these two gentlemen are a perfect fit for this great product,” Kirby added.

Virtual Bowling is a brand new product that takes the traditional game of bowling and combines it with the interactivity of video games to create a fun and exciting attraction for the entire family. With titles like Arctic Alley, Chicken Run and others, Virtual Bowling is the one bowling product on the market to offer different and immersive themes to the alley.

Players roll a bowling ball (standard or small ball) down a short lane where sensors detect the speed and direction of the ball. The ball then enters the “virtual world” where the reaction and impact of the ball with the pins - and other fun targets - is simulated accurately on the large video screen - complete with realistic sound.

Unlike some “miniature bowling” products, utilizing regulation width genuine bowling lanes, Virtual Bowling is the first and only amusement bowling product developed to have the look, feel and fun of traditional bowling while providing the appealing futuristic technology of “virtual simulation” on large down-lane screens. The combination of the two provides an exciting and fun experience designed to draw more customers of all ages.
