Brunswick takes Bowling Virtually Anywhere

Since the initial launch of Virtual Bowling by Brunswick in 2006, this high-tech interactive game continues to set the pace and take bowling to new and exciting places. And don’t be fooled, Virtual Bowling is no “Wii” little version of bowling, and it’s not “miniature” bowling. With regulation width lanes and the only system of its kind that uses regulation bowling balls, Virtual Bowling is like “the real deal.”

With a shortened lane and no physical pinsetter, Virtual Bowling is taking the experience of bowling where bowling hasn’t been before. For example, Virtual Bowling has already been installed in entertainment centers, resorts, cruise ships, homes, and clubs across the world.

The versatility of Virtual Bowling brings bowling into venues that would normally not be in a position to house pinsetters and full lanes. This interactive simulation is introducing bowling, the number one participation sport in the world, to an even wider audience. Recent Virtual Bowling installations show how easily bowling can be introduced into any entertainment environment.

Latino’s located in Sevilla, Spain, added Virtual Bowling to its combination casino and restaurant. Four lanes of Virtual Bowling have been installed there in a contemporary bar setting. Bowlers use their regular shoes and standard size bowling balls and enjoy a cool, fun and realistic bowling environment.

Billiards and bowling have always been a great combination, but for a billiard café in Vienna, Austria, limited square footage made it difficult to add traditional bowling lanes.
Three lanes of Virtual Bowling were a perfect fit! Now the Köö Café can entertain customers with billiards and bowling and not have to worry about pinsetter space or maintenance.

The popularity of private party rooms and activities are continuing to rise and entertainment facilities are constantly looking for new ways to get customers through their doors. Facilities like Emerald Alley, in USAG Kaiserslautern, Germany, which recently became the first U.S. military facility with two lanes of Virtual Bowling, including it in the renovation of its recreation club. The two lanes are strategically located in a private room; making it great to rent out for groups and parties. When the room isn’t reserved, the lanes are available to all customers.

Brunswick has installed Virtual Bowling in over 14 countries. Virtual Bowling will be shown at IAAPA Attractions Expo Nov. 13-16 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
