Canada’s premier waterpark, Calypso Theme Waterpark, have announced the opening of Jungle Challenge, a fun and exotic water attraction for all the family. Besides family favourites such as Summit Tower, Turbo Lab and Boomerango, Jungle Challenge will provide those with an adventurous streak the chance to complete the course by holding ropes while attempting to traverse crocodiles, lilies and logs.

Calypso’s latest attraction stands by Jungle Run’s tropical river and is part of a $1 million investment programme at the waterpark. Guy Drouin, President and CEO of Calypso Theme Waterpark says: “The addition of the Jungle Challenge enables us to diversify once again our offering of water games for the whole family, and aligns perfectly with our goal to provide increasingly exhilarating days and unforgettable experiences to our visitors.”
The Calypso Theme Waterpark is a substantial size with the aquatic area alone covering over 100 acres. Since opening in 2010, the $50 million dollar theme park has won a slew of awards, including Company of the Year, awarded by the RGA. With the largest wave pool in Canada, over 35 waterslides and 100 water games available to people of all ages, alongside existing attractions such as Pirate’s Aquaplay and Zoo Lagoon, Calypso stands out.
For those looking to visit Calypso Park to enjoy the wide variety of attractions on offer, the waterpark is open from June 7 to September 3. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Calypso website (http://www.calypsopark.com/parc-aquatique/en/). The website also has event photos and videos. Calypso Theme Waterpark is located east of Ottawa, off Highway 417, and 75 minutes from Montreal.
