For most people, challenging a 200 foot roller coaster at California's Great America is a daredevil experience, but for Nik Wallenda, the park's thrill rides are mere child's play. Wallenda, the King of the High Wire, will attempt one of the most daring stunts of the summer as he walks a wire high atop California's Great America on Sunday, June 28, at 1:30pm.
At 100 feet in the air, Wallenda will attempt to walk 500 feet across the park. Nik will perform this amazing stunt with no safety net, safety wire or harness.
Known as the "King of the High Wire", Wallenda currently holds two Guinness World Records, including the longest distance and greatest height ever traveled on a high wire by bicycle, set in October 2008. He is the seventh generation of the Great Wallendas and began his high wire career at the age of four.
