Hard Rock Park, the world’s first rock ‘n’ roll theme park located on 140-acres in Myrtle Beach, S.C., is working with SCS Interactive to design and develop three of its original attractions.
Known for creating the popular WaterPlay and Foam Factory attractions for theme parks, water parks and resorts, SCS Interactive, the innovative division of Koala Corp., will not rest on its laurels. Together with Hard Rock Park, SCS Interactive is originating the “Reggae River Falls” and “Garage Jam” attractions and supplying special water interactives for the “Slippery When Wet” roller coaster. The attractions are based upon SCS Interactive’s WaterPlay, Interactive Roller Coaster and Foam Factory product lines.
“With over 40 attractions, including roller coasters, legendary memorabilia, restaurants, and retail stores, SCS Interactive is the ideal partner to bring the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll to life by developing our signature rides,” explained Steven Goodwin, CEO of Hard Rock Park. “SCS will help us take the theme park experience to a new level.”
SCS Interactive has revolutionised the water play industry as the originator of the shallow pool treehouse concept, the creator of the giant tipping bucket seen at amusement parks across the world and the developer of the world’s first wet and dry water coaster known as SplashTrack™. Some of the largest resorts, amusement and water parks around the world showcase SCS Interactive structures as signature attractions.
“We have the inventive muscle needed to create an entirely new concept to compliment the Hard Rock brand and bring it to life,” added Steve Wagner, vice president of sales and marketing, SCS Interactive. “Our products are known for their uniqueness, appeal and interactivity. We plan to provide Hard Rock Park guests with an experience unlike anything they could ever imagine.”
The $400 million Hard Rock Park is currently under construction and expected to open to families this spring . HRP Myrtle Beach Operations LLC owns and will operate this unique theme park, which will be located at Fantasy Harbour on the corner of U.S. 501 and the Intracoastal Waterway.
