High-Tech Animatronics bring Dinosaurs to Life

  
Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) will announce details about Walking with Dinosaurs - The Live Experience coming to Toronto's Air Canada Centre.

The critically acclaimed stage production is based on the Emmy and BAFTA award-winning BBC series Walking with Dinosaurs. Walking with Dinosaurs - The Live Experience will mesmerize audiences at Canada's premier sports and entertainment venue, enabling show-goers to experience what it was like when dinosaurs walked and ruled the earth.

The show uses high-tech puppetry and animatronics to stage encounters between 15 life-size dinosaurs (up to 45 feet tall) such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex and the Stegosaurus with paleontologists narrating the plight of the prehistoric creatures.

The dinosaurs are designed and built by Sonny Tilders (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Stars Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith). WHO: Walking with Dinosaurs - The Live Experience, Director, Scott Faris - Faris is well-known as the director of the hit musical Chicago and his involvement in stage productions such as City of Angels, Les Miserables, Cabaret, Cats, Grease and Ain't Misbehavin'.
