Since its launch at IAAPA Asia 2010, Polin's King Cobra waterslide has been greatly anticipated all over the World. Now the wait is over. The King Cobra has come to life with an overwhelming success. King Cobra offers not only an intense and heart pounding experience to its riders, but also a stunning design and a one of a kind of visual to its spectators. The core feature of King Cobra is its unique configuration that enables two double tubes to race through a circular path with twists, turns, and surprises before experiencing the drop of their lives as they continue to race in the valley of the Cobra. This epic plunge is 8 meters down and allows the rider to accelerate to a speed of 51 km/h. Ugur Degirmenci, Project Engineer, Polin adds: "It does not end. The two double tubes are now heading into the mouth of Cobra. Unique fog, high-pitched hiss, water spraying, visual effects make it more exciting than ever while the spectators below think you are just "swallowed" in the mouth of the Cobra. Then powerful G-forces take over your tube and riders come back down and then oscillate up and down again as the tubes stop on down the waterslide. You come to the end of this unique riding experience. The new waterslide is both visually and in terms of riding experience just breathtaking. With so many great product features, the project has been more successful than even anticipated."

Ferit Gunel, age 31, who was among the first to ride King Cobra, said " I told to myself I shouldn't go on a slide that accelerates so fast.  But after experiencing such a rush of adrenaline from the intense drop to the amazing effects once I entered the mouth of Cobra, I do not think any other waterslide can compare.  After my first ride, I kept going back over and over again. Simply unique and incredible fun."

MAXX Royal Golf & Waterpark Resort is the first to have King Cobra!

The first King Cobra is located within the Cobra Kingdom of MAXX Royal Golf & Waterpark Resort located on the Mediterranean Coast, in Belek, Antalya, Turkey. The hotel situated on an area of 400.000 m² is 45 km to Antalya city centre, 35 km to the Antalya Airport. The waterpark part of the resort is located on 10,000 m² (approx. 107,640 square feet). The Waterpark as a whole and all kids' slides and articles are designed, manufactured and installed by Polin.  The waterpark is designed to offer rides for the whole family. There are a total of 10 waterslides including the King Cobra, a kid-sized water play area with numerous themed slides and fountains and a small water play structure together with slides, a tipping bucket and water guns.  The slides in the park are King Cobra, Space Hole, Black Hole,Kamikaze, Rafting Slide, 2 Twisters, Flying Boats, Freefall, Giant Body Slide and a Turbolance. The Kids' Group include Octopus Slide, Mini Pirate Slide, 2 Cobra Slides, 2 Rabbit Slides , Giraffe Shower, 4Mushrooms , 3 Dolphin Fountains , a water multi level water play structure namely Aquatower Type-300and a Frog Slide.

The waterslides at MAXX Royal are RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) manufactured waterslides. RTM waterslide manufacturing technology which is a closed molded technology is the latest and the best production method in waterslides. These slides manufactured by this method offer more since they add value to the general appearance of the park with its smooth and perfectly shiny finish on both sides and its newly designed forms.

The King Cobra gets its crown: Polins newest waterslide exceeds all expectations

After the first installation it is evident that King Cobra is one of the best attractions in the entire industry. After King Cobra's debut at Cobra Kingdom, the second installation had also been completed on July 11th in Russia at Djubga Waterpark. "We are about to finalize 5 other contracts for King Cobra. Other than these two, by mid 2012, there will be 3 King Cobras in Asia, 2 in Middle East and 1 in America. More are to come very soon." Says Kubilay Alpdogan, Sales Manager, Polin.
