Theme parks: Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has Big Plans for the Year Ahead    

The world’s biggest indoor  theme park, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, has exciting new plans for 2012, enhancing and further developing the credentials of the Ferrari themed park as a “must see” family destination for both domestic and international visitors to the UAE.

The  Yas Island, Abu Dhabi based theme park has announced a wholly new experiential ride, a new live entertainment  production together with a number brand new family-friendly activities which will make the park an even more compelling experience for its visitors.

‘Viaggio in Italia’ – Flying over Italy – a poignant and breathtaking  experience for all the family that takes guests - via a giant inverted dome - on a virtual flight over the striking and historic cities of Italy and its lush countryside is already in a soft opening phase.  The 4D attraction will follow the trail of a Ferrari as it winds along the famous Mille Miglia road rally and promises guests a truly  multi-sensory and unique adventure. Guests  will actually feel the  rain, wind and aromas of the Italian countryside as they  are fully immersed in the sights, sounds and scents of Italy.

The theme park will also will replace the current live entertainment production, La Gara with a news and spectacular production.

Furthermore, visitors will experience exciting themed events and spectaculars, including  “Speed Week” (to tie in with the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix), Italy themed carnivals similar to the popular Italia! Italia! celebrations held in April and F1™ screenings from cities across the world.  Live entertainment and performers will add further excitment to the iconic theme park’s unique collection of Ferrari themed rides and experiences.
