Utopia Entertainment, Inc. has been tapped by the City of Irvine, ( California), as the Event Producer for the Orange County Great Park Anniversary Celebration. The annual event will be held on July 11, 2009 with an expected attendance of 10,000 people and will present to the visitors an opportunity to experience the transition and growth of the Great Park.
The Orange County Great Park, when completed, will span 1,347 acres, and will act as the focal point of the redevelopment of the 4,700-acre former Marine Corps Air Station at El Toro. It will include extensive natural areas and open space, in addition to recreational and cultural uses. Currently, the Preview Park is the first full-use public facility within the Great Park and is home to the iconic Great Park Balloon which soars up to 400-feet high.
Utopia will be working directly with the Great Park staff to create a unique and fun day-time experience that celebrates the park’s past, present and future. In addition to exciting entertainment the event will also play host to educational venues that support the history and the original roots of the park; highlighting both its agricultural and military past. Children’s hands-on activities are also a major anchor to the broad array of offerings and shall be custom-themed to the event creating a truly unique and memorable experience for the residents of Orange County.
