Excited visitors will be only too delighted to prepare for the greatest battle they’ll ever ride, as Transformers: The Ride-3D launches at Universal Studios, Hollywood.
With the introduction of next generation, immersive theme park rides, the new Transformers: The Ride 3D will blast riders into a world where the evil Megatron and his Decepticons do battle with the Autobots.

Inspired by Hasbro and the Transformers film franchise, this immersive themed ride will take riders on a journey that combines the very latest in technology with the world of Transformers.
At 2000 feet long, this impressive ride has fourteen colossal screens and propels the rider to heights of up to sixty feet. Flight simulation technology, 3D-HD media and amazing action sequences will leave visitors encapsulated in an adventure which rivals the Transformers movies in terms of action.
This technological masterpiece was the result of collaboration between American film director and producer Michael Bay, Universal Creative, Hasbro, Inc. and the Academy award-winning Industrial Light & Magic.
The premier itself was attended by a host of stars, including Steven Spielberg and Transformers movie actor Peter Cullen, who having voiced the character Optimus Prime in both the original TV show and movie, has reprised the role for the ride. Other important 
attendees included Universal Studios President and COO, Ron Meyer and Larry Kurzweil, the president of Universal Studios Hollywood, alongside other notable names from within the industry.
Larry Kurzweil said: "TRANSFORMERS represents a perfect match for our theme park: an exhilarating blockbuster, non-stop action and astonishing special effects. It has all the elements to become one of the world’s most dynamic theme park thrill rides and a centerpiece attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood.”
The Transformers movie, which was released in 2007, tells the story of a teenage boy who is inadvertently caught up in a battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons, robots that can transform into different types of machinery. The movie grossed over $700 million at the box office and it’s hoped that the new ride will enjoy similar success.
Universal Creative’s President Mark Woodbury said that pushing the boundaries of 3D, hyperrealism and immersive visual effects allowed the ride to fully transport guests into the world of Transformers and praised Michael Bay for his work as Creative Consultant. Transformers: The Ride – 3D was produced under a license agreement from Hasbro, Inc. to Universal Parks and Resorts.
