Universal Orlando Resort is to open the eagerly anticipated “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” 3D ride on July 2nd. Universal Orlando Resort, the theme park that brought you The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman and Shrek 4D, will reveal their latest ride based upon Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s film Despicable Me.
The all new ride, with the latest in ground breaking 3D technology, will take guests on an exciting, hysterical and fun-filled adventure as they join, Gru, Margo, Edith and Agnes and a host of other ‘mischievous minions’.

The crazy adventure begins with families being transformed into minions, before training to join Gru’s minion army and then moving on to the world’s first minion-inspired dance party.
For adults and children alike, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem will take guests on a madcap journey with favourite characters from the movie. On entering the living room and sporting 3D minion goggles, visitors are scanned in the Minionization Prep Room for “human germs”.
Guests then begin their training aboard Minion Transformation Pods and as things start to go wrong, mayhem ensues. An extraordinary trip through Gru’s lab follows, as the hilarity continues and the anarchy grows.
The ride concludes under a sparkling, glowing disco ball, where guests can show off their skills as they dance with the minions. With giant interactive projection screens, visitors can watch themselves as they join in the revelry with the minions to the renowned “Boogie Fever”.
With the official opening on July 2nd, there may be prior opportunities for guests to enjoy the ride leading up the launch of Universal Orlando Resorts latest attraction. As the ride is now in technical rehearsal, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem will only be operating on selected days and times.
