Vortex Aquatic Structures, the industry leader in aquatic playground and urban landscape solutions, has installed a Splashpad® at Tampines 1 Mall in Singapore.

With real estate in Singapore being at a premium, the Splashpad® is located in a rooftop in an exciting wildlife themed play area and has been a great success with hundreds of parents and children since opening in Spring 2012.
The play area was designed by Canadian Landscape Architect Grant Smith of MSLA and CT –Art Creation Pte Ltd. who were given a brief to create a space for children between the ages of 2 and 12 to learn more about wildlife conservations through play. To this end, the Splashpad® and play area have been designed to represent plants and animals from all over the world.
Mr. Patrick Lee, Managing Director of CT-Art Creation Pte Ltd., said, “The Splashpad® has many unique features to ensure that it meets the needs of property developer.
“The client told us to design a unique play area based on a theme like wildlife so we decided to engage a landscape architect to realize this vision. We approached Canadian Landscape Architect Grant Smith of MSLA, a specialist landscape architect on play and recreation areas with many notable projects that include those for Disney, Six Flags, and Universal Studios, to help us turn this vision into reality.
