Waterpark Growth with Whitewater West in Eastern Europe

Summer 2012 was a very busy one for WhiteWater. If fact, "WhiteWater has noticed renewed growth in waterpark cultivation in Europe", states Sean Hinton, VP of Business Development for Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa. "We recently opened an office in Barcelona to address this growth and we look forward to bringing some original, innovative attractions to the European market.

Three recent waterparks openings in Eastern Europe include:
- Aqua - Lazika, Georgia - Featuring breathtaking views of the Black Sea, Aqua - Lazika in Anaklia, Georgia recently opened with the country's president on hand to celebrate the special occasion. The waterpark debuted the world's first Family Rattler, the only Constrictor in the region, as well as a host of other WhiteWater attractions.
- Donetsk Waterpark, Ukraine - Donetsk Waterpark is the largest retractable aluminum-domed indoor waterpark in the world at 86 feet (26 m) high and has an area of 61,000 ft2 (5,667 m2). One of the highlights of this project is the first Triple Charger. The newest innovation in Inner-Tube waterslides, the patented Triple ChargerTM offers 3 twisting inner-tubes that nest together to form a distinctive Bowl shape. The Triple ChargerTM allows riders to challenge each other to a thrilling race through a series of exciting twists and turns and because of its unique configuration, it features increased throughput and a compact footprint.
- La Plaja Acua Park, Romania - Deemed the "Land of Fun" with an adventurous explorer theme, Divertiland Park is an entertainment complex which recently completed its first phase with an amusement park and a waterpark. The waterpark, La Plaja Acua Park, spans 430,556 ft2 (40,000 m2) and features something for everyone. The AquaPlay RainFortress is the highlight of this waterpark; with its detailed Egyptian theming and its gigantic tipping bucket, it creates quite an adventure for families to discover together.
