Last year, Aqua Fantasy Waterpark, Izmir, Turkey, added two new water rides to celebrate their tenth anniversary; now they are to expand again with the addition of another new ride from leading waterpark designers Polin.
Part of the Aqua Fantasy Hotel and Spa, Aqua Fantasy is built on 45 acres in the ancient city of Selcuk, on the Aegean coast. Last year, Family Rafting Slide and Wave Slide represented the perfect addition to the attraction. These were manufactured using L-RTM (Light-Resin transfer Moulding) technology, developed by Polin. s of these rides has led Aqua Fantasy to use Polin once more for the design, manufacture and installation of the new ride.

The new waterslide was specially designed for the Aqua Fantasy Waterpark and is located in-between Family Rafting Slide and Wave Slide, the new rides added last year.
The dark-blue and turquoise colour-combination attraction is a fast, exciting, double-tube ride which also features double uphill sections. The waterslide stands over 14 metres high and measures 131 metres in length.
"The design of this third slide is a combination of our Rafting Slide and our Uphill Flying Boats. This ride is also very unique because it has 2 uphill portions. The great thing about this design is that it uses the same tower as the previous slides and it works without water jets. This lowers the operating costs of the Waterpark," says Zeynep Canbaz, Senior Architect, Polin.
Muharrem Atilla, Waterpark Manager, Aqua Fantasy adds: "The adrenaline is high, people are so happy and the lines are very long. Due to the high amount of excitement [around] the two slides we added last year [...], we were interested in adding another slide from Polin. We have a great relationship with Polin and they understand our needs. It is amazing to see that once the riders leave the slide there faces are glowing with joy."
