Wonderscope Children's Museum, a children's museum which provides fun, interactive exhibits and programs that integrate the arts, science and literature for children and The Children's Museum of Kansas City, an organization that provides an innovative, hands-on learning environment where young children explore, discover, and imagine through play have formally merged organizations. The combined organization, Wonderscope Children's Museum of Kansas City, will incorporate existing members from both boards. Lauranne Hess will lead the newly combined organization as Executive Director.
"The Wonderscope Children's Museum of Kansas City merger will benefit the entire region by combining educational programming expertise, exhibit resources, and existing strengths of both museums," said Kevin Tubbesing, board chair of Wonderscope Children's Museum. "The combined children's museums will continue to provide high quality, hands-on learning opportunities for young children and families in our community by leveraging shared core competencies."
