As the highly anticipated 2010 Shanghai World Expo quickly approaches, the USA Pavilion organizers continue to expand their talented team. The announcement of the appointment of Martin Alintuck as the USA Pavilion’s Director of Communications and main spokesperson was made by Shanghai Expo 2010’s Co-Founders, Nick Winslow and Ellen Eliasoph.    

“Martin joins us in one of the most important position at the USA Pavilion,” said Winslow.  “We are delighted to welcome him to our team.” 

“It's an honor to be a part of the USA's presence at the Expo," said Alintuck.  "I look forward to supporting the American participation in this once-in-a-lifetime event that will bring the world to Shanghai."

Mr. Alintuck has lived and worked in China for almost 7 years, most recently as Managing Director, China, for Edelman Public Relations where he oversaw offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.  During that time, he also served as Vice Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in China for two years.  Mr. Alintuck previously was Managing Director, Shanghai, for Burson Marsteller, one of the world's largest public relations firms.  Mr. Alintuck has recently completed a Master's Degree in Public Administration at the Kennedy School for Government at Harvard University.  He joins the USA Pavilion team as the Director of Communications and the main spokesperson for the Pavilion.

Additionally, Meredith Riley joins as the Director of Protocol, Sumita Ghosh joins as the Director of Cultural Program, and Lindsay Klump assumes the role of Director of Partner Relations and Sponsorship Fulfillment at the USA Pavilion.

Shanghai Expo 2010 is the non-profit corporation that is carrying out the fund-raising, design and construction, and operation of the USA National Pavilion project on behalf of the government of the United States of America.
